nerdbooks.com seems to be a popular place for some Dallas UGs to meet. I went to a Spring UG meet there tonight to hear a talk on AOP and Spring and AspectJ. The owner asked us to spread the word, so here's my part. Had a good in-store selection from what I could see, and apparently the prices are hard to beat.
They got Mind Hacks for a few bucks less than Amazon - Practices of an Agile Developer, a buck or so less, and the new 2nd Edition of Compilers for about $15 less. I'm sure Amazon may not be the best place to compare, but it gives you a rough start.
