Via Avi Bryant, some information on how to take advantage of XMLHttpRequest in recent versions of Mozilla, IE and Safari to do callbacks to re-render only portions of the current web page, for nifty things like autocompletion (start typing in the search edit box). Avi includes a link to some generic JavaScript code so you can use this yourself. That'd be fun to add to the Find page of my blogki here...
